Chennai : Master Lakshay Krishnakumar, a 12-year-old boy with special needs, has set a remarkable world record by swimming 56 kilometers across the open sea between Thalaimannar (Sri Lanka) and Rameswaram AgniTheertham (India). On 8-9 October, 2024, he undertook the daring 20-hour swim, earning a place in the World Book of Records. Diagnosed with autism, he has shown immense courage and perseverance, proving that disabilities do not define one’s limits. The provisional certificate of record was bestowed to Master Lakshay Krishnakumar by Ms. Ankita Shah, WBR official.
